IPO का मतलब है Initial Public Offering, यानी जब कोई private company पहली बार अपने shares public को बेचती है ताकि वो stock exchange पर list हो सके.

  • Purpose: Company को business expand करने, loan चुकाने या नए projects के लिए funds चाहिए होते हैं.
  • Process:
    1. Company SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) से approval लेती है.
    2. Price band और number of shares decide होते हैं.
    3. Investors IPO में apply करते हैं.
    4. Shares allot होने के बाद वो आपके Demat account में credit हो जाते हैं.

Example:
अगर Zomato, Paytm या LIC जैसी companies market में पहली बार अपने shares बेचें — ये IPO कहलाता है.

Demat और Trading Account कैसे खोलें?

Demat account = Digital locker for your shares.
Trading account = Share खरीदने और बेचने का platform.

Steps:

  1. Broker चुनें – जैसे Zerodha, Upstox, Angel One, Groww, ICICI Direct etc.
  2. Documents ready रखें –
    • PAN Card
    • Aadhaar Card (with linked mobile number)
    • Bank account details (cheque/cancelled cheque)
    • Passport size photo
  3. Online Form भरें – Broker की website या app पर sign-up करें.
  4. KYC Verification – Video KYC या Aadhaar OTP verification.
  5. Account Activation – Verification के बाद आपको Client ID और login details मिलेंगे.
  6. Start Trading/Investing – Account active होने के बाद आप IPO में apply कर सकते हैं या shares खरीद-बेच सकते हैं.
